“Supreme Care” care for nurses as well as clients…

Oct 5, 2021 | Fitness to Practice

We are delighted to announce that Supreme care and Domiciliary Services Ltd have teamed up with us to support nurses undergoing FtP investigations

We have worked together to formulate a pathway that ensures NMCW members are assessed and triaged to explore placements with this company. This will enable them to avoid the financial hardship that comes to many under FtP and regain some clinical confidence lost when struggling to find employment.

Many have simple Conditions of Practice in place but are unable to find employers willing to support.

Some have been suspended from the register but still have a lot to offer in carer type roles with transferable skills.

We will work with employers to ensure a realistic expectation is in place by both employer and nurse. We will also explain the outline of any Conditions of Practice and how these can be fulfilled as well as keeping in touch regularly with employer and nurse to see how things are progressing.

We will encourage the nurse to maintain an up-to-date portfolio, gathering reflections as they work so that this can be used to demonstrate the necessary remediation to the NMC when the time is right.

Supreme Care covers a nationwide geography with more concentration in the North East – their contracts are with the Prison Service and care homes.

“We at Supreme Care and Domiciliary Services Limited has chosen to support those under scrutiny as this can have a great impact on their livelihood, and as such affecting them financially, emotionally, mentally and physically.
We have decided to build a partnership with NMC Watch Group to provide a service that will support and assist our colleagues when the tables have turned. To let them know that there are us that still care.”
Dorrett Murdock, Clinical Nurse Manager – Supreme Care
